Thinking about what comes after Year 11 can feel like a lot. This page gives you a few places to start.

What happens at 16

You have to stay in education or training until you are 18. That can mean:

• going to college
• starting an apprenticeship
• working or volunteering, while also doing part-time study

If you have an EHC plan, it can carry on after 16, and up to age 25 while you are in education or training. Your annual reviews from Year 9 should include your plans for the future.
